Shabu-Shabu

I am a multitasker. A photographer. A cuddler. A lover of all activities in the ocean.

This unplanned, amazing day was captured so well it had to be shared. I can't think of anything better than spending the day outdoors, gathering fresh ingredients, and sharing a lengthy meal with both new and old friends. And this was only the side note to our day!

This 24 hours started and ended with a morning surf. In between there was a ramen lunch, foiling, snorkelling, photographing, and some of our dinner was caught spear fishing.

Then we sat down to some super special sashimi and shabu-shabu. Like hotpot, shabu-shabu is a Japanese meal in which vegetables and proteins are cooked at the table in broth, and then dipped into sauce. I love this style of eating because it is communal, always evolving in flavour, and seems to never fail at inspiring great conversations.
